WELCOME TO OWL ARCHERY
Congratulations to Emily Yang, OWL 11th grader who took first place at the 2018 state tournament in Bemidji!
Open World Learning Community launched its archery program in 2007, when Mark Scioli introduced archery into the curriculum. We now have a competitive team that meets after school for practice and travels to tournaments on weekends. Both the coaches and students agree that this is a sport everyone can excel in, because it allows for individual improvement with every arrow shot.
This year’s team is comprised of students from grades 6-12, with a wide range of ability levels and interests. Some students join to try something new, while others return because of the positive experience and success they enjoyed in past years while participating. Archery offers a challenge at every level - beginner, intermediate and advanced - and appeals to both boys and girls. Students improve their scores in tournaments as they work hard to find their perfect aiming point in practice and display incredible improvement and enthusiasm about the sport.
Students interested in joining the school's 2019 team will be able to sign up here.
